Key Takeaways
- Going live: EAT goes live with creators next week, the week of Nov. 9, 2026, WYDE says. EAT's fund page says creator pages and sign-in open when clipping starts in November.
- Last chance: fund.eat.ong is still taking applications, and 373 creators with a self-reported 113 million followers have applied.
- How creators earn: Accepted creators earn based on qualified views, WYDE says. EAT's published rate for approved clips is $1 per 1,000 verified views, and views are never guaranteed.
- The ask: WYDE wants Everybody EATs in every video: show support for ending hunger, tell viewers to download the EAT app, share your link and start participating.
EAT goes live with creators next week, WYDE says, and its Everybody EATs campaign is the center of the launch. Creators that EAT accepts earn based on qualified views. For creators who thought they missed the Oct. 31 deadline, WYDE says the days before launch are the last chance to get in.
When EAT Creators Go Live and Who Can Still Apply
"Creator pages and sign-in open when clipping starts in November," says the $1M Clipping Fund page. WYDE says that happens the week of Nov. 9. Applying is free, open worldwide and takes about two minutes, the page says.
The founding round was set to close on Oct. 31, but the page still lists applications as open. On Nov. 6 it counted 373 creators who had applied, with 113 million combined followers, numbers it says are self-reported until EAT verifies them. That is about 303,000 followers per applicant, by WYDE's arithmetic.
Applying is not acceptance: EAT reviews each applicant's videos. Creators without a fitting video can apply anyway, and the page says not having one does not make them ineligible.
How Accepted Creators Earn on Qualified Views
Accepted creators earn based on qualified views, WYDE says, and on EAT's sites pay follows verified views on approved work. Clip for EAT, the clipping side of the program, pays $1 for every 1,000 verified views on approved clips, from $1,000,000 that EAT committed to pay for clips of its creators.
Phase 1 covers the first 10 million verified clip views. At the published rate, that is $10,000, or 1% of the $1 million, by WYDE's arithmetic. The full fund covers one billion views at $1 per 1,000.
Views are recorded every week. Before the first payment, EAT shows how and when it pays, any minimum and any tax form. Views are never guaranteed, the clipping page says, and a clip can get few views or none.
What to Put in Your Everybody EATs Video
Everybody EATs is EAT's idea that people get fed, creators get paid and seen, and restaurants reach new customers, as WYDE's ecosystem page describes it. WYDE is asking accepted creators to build it into each video in five ways:
- Name it. Put Everybody EATs in your video in some way.
- Show support for the cause. Make it clear you are helping end hunger.
- Point to the app. Tell viewers to download the EAT app, at eat.ong/app for iPhone and Android.
- Share your link. Give your audience your link.
- Start participating. Ask viewers to take part, not just watch.
The fund page sets three content levels. Level 1 is hunger awareness in the content you already make. Level 2 is feeding anyone on camera, after asking first. Level 3 is feeding people in need with dignity, never filming anyone who says no. Crypto price talk, gambling, adult content, reposts of other people's videos and anything that mocks people in need are not eligible.
Paid videos also need a clear disclosure. Federal Trade Commission staff guidance for influencers says that in a video, "the disclosure should be in the video and not just in the description uploaded with the video."
Where the Money for Everybody EATs Comes From
Every $EAT trade pays a 1% fee, split four ways among meals through the WYDE Foundation, the creator pool, liquidity and the platform, the fund page says. It also tells creators they never need to buy $EAT. WYDE counted more than 74,000 meals funded as of Nov. 5, toward a goal of one billion meals.
The WYDE Newsroom Is Out of Beta
The WYDE Newsroom moved to wyde.org/news this week and is now officially launched and out of beta, WYDE says. Old newsroom links redirect to the same stories.
