    How WYDE works

    In short

Every $EAT trade pays a 1% fee that splits four ways on-chain: hunger relief, the creator pool, liquidity and the platform, 0.25% of the trade each. Half of the hunger-relief share goes to Feed the Children and half to a community-voted pool, and WYDE counts each $1 of it as 5 meals.

    Where a $EAT trade’s 1% fee goes

The shares are set in the platform’s fee configuration and match the four treasury wallets on Base. WYDE’s documents do not yet agree on what the three non-hunger quarters fund.

    The flywheel

    1. Trading $EAT pays a 1% fee, split four ways: hunger relief, the creator pool, liquidity and the platform, 0.25% of the trade each.
    2. Spending with the EAT Card funds the cause from card fees stores already pay.
    3. Hunger relief funds meals, and the creator pool and the cause fill the $1M Clipping Fund, which pays clippers per verified view.
    4. Clips, restaurant videos and the Hunger Cup bring reach and new supporters.
    5. Public, verifiable impact brings more holders, cardholders and creators, who trade and spend again.

The WYDE Foundation sits beside the flywheel: its charitable grants and food-donation receipts support the causes themselves, not the token.

WYDE's exchange, the Impact Exchange, is the core of the platform: a fee on every trade of a cause coin is routed on-chain, part to the cause and part to the people and systems that keep it growing. It is the mechanism that makes a cause coin fund its mission.

    How a trade becomes funding

    1. A trade pays the fee. Every $EAT trade pays a 1% fee, collected on-chain.
    2. The fee splits four ways. Hunger relief (the impact treasury), the creator pool, liquidity and the platform each receive 0.25% of the trade.
    3. Hunger relief splits again. Half goes to Feed the Children and half to a community-voted pool of hunger-relief groups.
    4. Dollars become meals. WYDE counts each $1 of hunger relief as 5 meals funded.
    5. The creator pool pays for reach. It pays for clips that spread the cause.

    The fee

    • Every $EAT trade pays a 1% fee, collected automatically on-chain.
    • The fee splits four ways, 25% each, so each share is 0.25% of the trade. WYDE's current description of the four: hunger relief, the creator pool, liquidity, and the platform. The split is set in the platform's fee configuration and matches the four treasury wallets on Base, which have each received the same amount: about 6.70 ETH as of 5 November 2026. Older WYDE documents (the custody and treasury framework and the whitepaper) label the three non-hunger quarters differently, so what each of them funds is unconfirmed until WYDE reconciles them; see Tokenomics and fees.
    • The hunger-relief share is counted at a conservative $1 = 5 meals (Feeding America says every $1 helps provide 10 meals).

As of 5 November 2026 the hunger-relief share had received 6.70 ETH, worth $14,821.73 when earned, over 116,132 trades: 74,108 meals funded. For the full supply, vesting, and liquidity mechanics, see Tokenomics and fees.

    Why it is different

    • No donation ask. Funding is a byproduct of normal market activity.
    • It pays the people who help. A share of every trade goes to the creator pool that pays for clips spreading the cause.
    • On-chain and auditable. Every trading fee is verifiable on Base.
    • Permanent liquidity. WYDE's May 2026 briefing says $EAT's liquidity was seeded and its LP token burned, so it can never be pulled. See Tokenomics and fees.
