The fund: applications close tonight at 11:59 p.m. Pacific.
AI: OpenAI claims three new science results, with no outside check yet.

Last call. EAT pays clippers to spread the videos of creators who help feed people. Danah Kim made the first fund video with 2,479 followers. Size is not the test.
Applications close tonight, October 31, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific.
Creators who applied report 96 million combined followers. The fund targets 1 billion impressions. That is $1 million at $1 per 1,000 verified views.
It is an application, like a venture fund. Content and fit count. Follower count does not.
WHAT EAT CREATORS GET
Clipped from day one. Clipping starts in November. EAT clippers cut your posts for TikTok, Reels, Shorts and X. The fund pays the clippers. You pay nothing.
A spot on the EAT creator board. Restaurants and brands come to the top of the board first.
Your fans get paid to clip you. They earn on verified views.
Keep every deal you have. EAT is non-exclusive.
Your videos may already fit. Level 1 is hunger awareness, in the content you already make. No eligible video yet? Apply anyway.

THE FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER
"I'm not telling you the world's going to end tomorrow."
Newsweek's map lists 33 countries that tell households to keep emergency food and water. The most common advice is three days. Dan Bongino cited 30.
The fine print: an intelligence veteran told TNND there is no public sign of a specific threat that would require 30 days.
"These cuts are happening just as we are facing the fourth winter."
WFP cut monthly food aid in Gaza from 1.6 million people to 1.1 million. About 500,000 people lose support.
Why it matters: WFP says it needs $450 million over six months for Gaza and the West Bank.
"No New Yorker should have to choose between paying the rent and putting food on the table."
The $25 million hub opened October 26 to supply 344 pantry partners. Only one funder has a dollar figure attached: a $1 million state matching grant.
More in hunger
The US says stockpile food. It still has no plan for its $720 million to fight global hunger, Joseph Cederwall reports.
THE WEEK IN GIVING
"It's not a joke to me, OK?"
A prankster faked a $10 Apple Pay theft from a worker stocking frozen pizzas. His GoFundMe reached $605,350 from 16,720 donors by Friday evening.
Why it matters: the page stood at about $5,500 until large accounts pointed their followers at it.
"This gift is our commitment to the next generation in Boston and far beyond."
The ownership group and the team gave more than $200 million. Rob and Karen Hale gave $100 million in December and the other owners matched it, Boston.com reported.
More in giving
Warren Buffett left the Gates Foundation out in 2026 and gave four family foundations 12 million shares. He plans to give them about $140 billion in stock by 2034.
An anonymous donor gave Centre College $225 million to launch a $450 million campaign.
Felicia and Ben Horowitz committed $150 million to a Las Vegas children's hospital.
Ohio Wesleyan announced a $40 million gift for faculty pay.
The Terry Fox Foundation got its largest donation, C$25 million from the Tanenbaum family.
Military and veterans giving rose 5.9% to about $4 billion in 2024.
AI AND HEALTH
"Announcing three major scientific discoveries, one each in mathematics (harmonic analysis), computer science (complexity theory), and physics (quantum field theory)."
OpenAI says its models produced three new results. No outside verification is reported, and the physics materials are not public.
"Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, which means FDA does not review their safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed."
Superpower opened pre-orders at $149 a month for BPC-157 and TB-500 on October 30. HHS said it does not intend to act against pharmacies compounding six peptides.
The fine print: the policy is not FDA approval. Superpower's own page says research on BPC-157 in people is limited.
More in AI and health
FDA advisers backed 6 peptides, including BPC-157. Agency scientists opposed all 6.
Anthropic released a Claude for Nonprofits plugin with fundraising skills. It says more than 25,000 nonprofits use Claude.
Microsoft's MAI-DxO diagnosed 83% of hard cases in simulated tests, not real patient care.
Cent raised $15 million for AI-led preventive scans.
Dream Labs raised a $90 million seed and launched an API for robots.
FRAUD AND MONEY
"This is the biggest crypto hack in history."
Binance estimates the total impact at about $6.3 billion, with about $3 billion frozen on-chain. The final total is not confirmed.
The fine print: Binance says user funds are safe. Deposits and withdrawals are suspended, with no restart date.
More in fraud and money
A UAE-led operation identified more than $39 billion in funds and digital currencies linked to fraud.
Treasury flagged about $270 million in suspicious activity potentially linked to student aid fraud.
New York and federal investigators are examining more than 100 adult day care providers over suspected Medicaid fraud.

NYSE owner ICE is taking a stake in Trade.xyz to bring its Hyperliquid perpetual futures to the U.S.
FOR RESTAURANTS: GIVE MEALS, GET SEEN
A creator films at your restaurant and shares your food with the community.
Each clip shows your restaurant giving.
You can claim a food donation receipt from the WYDE Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity.
IMAGINE IF TRADES MATTERED
$EAT is the first token that funds creators to end hunger. All trades fund creators.
Every $EAT trade carries a 1 percent fee, split four ways: creators, hunger-relief charities, liquidity and the platform.
Creators are paid for work. They do not need to buy, hold or promote the token.
